Homemade Pork and Beans
1/4 kilo Pork Belly, bite-sized
1/2 kilo Raw Kidney Beans, soaked in water overnight
5 cloves Garlic, pounded
1 Onion, chopped
2 pieces Hotdog, sliced
1 can Tomato Sauce
3/4 cup Banana Ketchup
1/4 cup Sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Hot Sauce
4 cups Meat Broth
1/4 cup Oil
1 tablespoon Salt
1.) Boil the soaked Kidney Beans in 5 cups of
water until soft but firm.
2.) In a separate pan, brown Pork Belly in hot
oil. Add Garlic, Onions and Hotdogs.
3.) Pour Tomato Sauce and add the Ketchup,
Hot Sauce and Soy Sauce. Stir.
4.) Add the beans. Season with Salt and Sugar.
5.) Add the Meat Broth and simmer for 25
minutes or until beans are tender. Serve hot.
